SFUSD Arts Festival Map Workshop at the Asian Art Museum
This was the final map workshop that the Asian Art Museum hosted, but this time it was for the San Francisco Unified School District Arts Festival. Up to 100 art teachers from all disciplines participated in this two day workshop. Teachers were given a small piece of foam board cut into a shape that could be any geographical place. Then all the small individual "districts" were then combined to form one large map in the shape of San Francisco. Instead of making self portrait maps as in previous versions of the workshop, teachers were tasked with making a map that portrayed the arts identity of their classes and the school or schools they teach at.
